Simply by injecting a “filler” into lines and wrinkles that we dislike gives us an immediate boost. In one or two short sessions, nose to mouth lines, marionette lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines can be erased and lips can be restored to their former shape and size and give a totally natural look and feel. Lipstick lines can easily be treated so redefining the lip margin.

Swelling – all treatments tend to cause some initial swelling which normally subsides within 4 hours. Very rarely the swelling may persist for 24 hours, a fact to remember when planning treatment.

Bruising – injections into the top layer of skin rarely cause bruising but deeper injections can do both. Swelling and bruising can be minimized by application of a Vitamin C mask immediately after the treatment or by the use of Arnica tablets.

Cold Sores – If you would like us to treat your lips with a filler and have had cold sores in the past, we will recommend that you take Acyclovir immediately before the treatment and for 5 days afterwards. We stock these tablets and add the cost onto your final invoice. You may prefer to ask your GP to prescribe these for you.
